Agastya Rekhi
Editor in chief
Hi! I’m Agastya Rekhi, a 16-year-old change-maker and the founder of The Bottom Line: a monthly newsletter that makes sense of the stories shaping our economy and our everyday lives.
I started The Bottom Line because I noticed that while the news is full of major economic stories, most people are left wondering: what does this actually mean for me?
From changes in employment to inflation and prices, these topics can feel confusing or overly technical. My goal isn’t just to simplify economics: it’s to make it human.
I want to bridge that gap between big ideas and real impact, between “what’s happening” and “why it matters.” No jargon, no gatekeeping: just clarity, simplicity and guidance that help people see the bigger picture.
Together with my team, I turn complex economic ideas into straightforward explanations anyone can understand.
We’re here to make financial literacy something everyone can be a part of, not just people in suits reading market reports. Because if the economy affects everyone, everyone deserves to understand it.
Less jargon. More clarity. That’s the bottom line.
